HATHA YOGA

 (Warm and Non-Hot)
Class duration – 60 minutes

Great place to start your Yoga journey.

There are many types of Yoga, and trying to work out which is which can be overwhelming.  Each individual should find a type of Yoga most suited to their needs, but a good place to start is Hatha Yoga.

Hatha Yoga is a generic term that refers to any type of Yoga that teaches physical postures.  In other words, all the Yoga styles taught currently around the world revolve around asanas.

If you are brand new to Yoga, Hatha Yoga is a great entry point to the practice.  Hatha Yoga classes are best for beginners, since they are usually paced more slowly than other Yoga styles.  This is the classic Yoga, which involves the use of asanas (poses), pranayama (breath control), mudra (gestures) and bandha locks.

Hatha Yoga at Beginners level lay a firm foundation in the basic postures from standing poses, to forward bends, backbends, twists and introductory inversions.  Hatha Yoga is also great for those returning to practice or for students who wish to reinforce the basics.  Highly recommended for the absolute beginner.
